January, 2011

Williams Performance Tenders, the world's leading jet tender specialist, celebrated after its 505D Turbojet tender received a Highly Commended award in the starterboat category at the Motor Boat of the Year Awards.

The prestigious awards, which were sponsored by Garmin, were held at the Savoy Hotel in London.

Mathew Hornsby, co-Managing Director at Williams Performance Tenders, commented: "We are absolutely delighted that our 505D Turbojet received a Highly Commended award. Since we launched our superyacht tender last year we've seen unprecedented interest and sales from customers across the world and this accolade further underlines the success of the model."

Short-listed finalists were drawn from boats which are currently in production and for sale in the UK. To be judged, they must have been tested by the editorial teams of IPC Media's participating titles, Motor Boat & Yachting and Motor Boats Monthly.

Queen's Award

April, 2010

UK based jet tender specialist, Williams Performance Tenders, has won The Queen's Award for Enterprise 2010 in the International Trade category. This is the first time the company has received the prestigious award, which honours outstanding UK companies. Accomplishments considered by the judging panel when bestowing this accolade on Williams include growing its export sales over the last three years, and increased overseas distribution.

Joint-Managing Director, Mathew Hornsby, commented: "To win this universally recognised award is testament to our entire team and we are absolutely delighted that their continued hard work has been recognised. This is a huge milestone for us and we are very proud to have been awarded this accolade."

"We have been delighted with the continued growth and success we've seen over the past three years. To sustain the company's growth and attain an increased brand presence, we have expanded beyond Europe and are always looking at emerging markets and key export areas, including Brazil, Asia and Mexico."

John and Mathew Hornsby attended a celebratory reception for winners at Buckingham Palace where they met with Her Majesty the Queen. The award was also formally conferred on the company at its premises in Oxfordshire, UK.

The winning of The Queen's Award for Enterprise 2010 came as the company celebrated its 6th year in business and confirms its position as the world's leading jet tender specialist - and a proud British company.
